Planning to go for my birthday in March. any suggestions for a party of 4. would like to stay near the Eiffel Tower, and if you can suggest any tour?

My husband and I have stayed at the Novotel near the Eiffel tower several times. It%26#39;s nt a cheap hotel, but there are sometimes internet specials. We%26#39;ve always been treated very well, and it%26#39;s convenient.
In Paris, there%26#39;s no need of tours. Get a good guide book and you can do it yourself. There are also the get on and off buses that stop near famous sites - check the guidebooks. We usually just walk or take the metro and explore all the neighborhoods.
Bon voyage!

elizabeth,
To help with your search, limit yourself to hotels in the 7th arrondissement, where the Eiffel Tower is located. The France Hotels link on this page is a good place to start.
Seconding the about comment, tours are really not required in Paris. If you would be willing to spend the money for a personal guide, here are a few suggestions:

Several websites offer great advice for visiting the city:

There are of course many more, hope this helps.
