I found Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et du Trianon in a list of places where can the Museum Pass be used. BUT I can´t find any mention about it on official site of Versailles in the ticket section. Could somebody please tell me what parts of the chateaux can the pass be used for? Any other special conditons for using it there?
Thanks in advance!

As far as I know the museum pass can be used to get into the regular tour of Versailles. If you want to go on the guided tour or see the private apartments you have to buy another ticket for that. I don%26#39;t know if the Trianon is covered.

I don´t know about the chateau itself, but I wrote to ask if the show %26quot;Les eaux musicales%26quot; (saturdays and sundays from April to September in the garden fountains) was included in the Paris Museum Pass and they replied that it wasn´t, that you have to buy a separate ticket to watch it.

Admission to almost all of the spaces and attractions of Chateau de Versailles will be included with the PARIS MUSEUM PASS...a notable exception is the seasonal Grandes Eaux Musicales fountain displays....audio-guide rentals or escrorted guided tours. Trainon. Petit Trianon, Hammeau are all included.

One other detail with the museum pass is that you can save yourself some time by going to Gate %26#39;..B-2..%26#39; for entrance with the pass...rather than getting caught up in the crowds at other entrances.

If you want the audio guide and other attractions, can you still save time and go in through gate B2? or do you have to wait in a regular line to obtain those items?
|||
You can get them after you go in

Just a minor clarification to a couple of things...
Versailles completely changed it%26#39;s access points and what is and isn%26#39;t included with things last July. The Museum Pass website has not been updated, and doesn%26#39;t reflect what is actually included now, which is %26quot;access%26quot; to just about everything. What it doesn%26#39;t include is an audio-guide, or access to the gardens on the weekends when the fountains are playing. Audio-guide tickets must be purchased at the main ticket line, located on the left of the main courtyard with the huge i and the long line. To the best of my knowledge, and my experiences on my last two visits, the attendants at the audio guide booths only collect tickets and hand out the AG%26#39;s, they do not sell tickets. Tickets to the garden can be purchased at the garden entrance. If you already have a Versailles Passeport or a Museum Pass, you can go directly to any entrance for a specific area, or circuit, of the Chateau. There is, in effect, no longer a door %26quot;B-2%26quot;. Instead, you enter the Chateau at whatever circuit you want to tour, like the Chapel and Opera Circuit, the King%26#39;s Chambers/State Apartment%26#39;s circuit, etc.. This is all a little messed up at the moment because they still have the entire front of the Chateau %26quot;dug up%26quot;, so it%26#39;s best to just head to the entrance at the Gabriel Pavillon (next to the Chapel), where you can go through security, begin your tour at the chapel, and follow the entire circuit up, down, around and back through to the Queen%26#39;s staircase, before you go back outside again to re-enter into the Dauphin%26#39;s apartments.
The way to avoid all lines for tickets for anything is to buy the Versailles Passeport at an FNAC, or a Transilien ticket office. The Passeport covers everything, including audio guides and garden access on the weekends when the fountains play. My general advice has always been only to use the Museum Pass for Versailles if you are a) going on a weekday; b) plan to spend just a half day or so; c) know enough about the place in advance that you don%26#39;t need to the audio guides. If you answer %26quot;no%26quot; to any of those three, then I would use the Museum Pass for other sites on the days of its validity, and then buy the Passeport for your visit to Versailles on a day before or after your Museum Pass is valid.

Arrow,
Thanks so much for the brilliant information. A friend and I will be taking our daughters (6 women total!) in April and we are sure to go to Versailles. Your information has certainly saved me much hassle.
