open to suggestions:CDG airport hotel or Paris Hotel????

We are arriving on Friday afternoon in Paris from Zurich by train. We need to be at the CDG airport at 8am the next morning to meet my group of students- we have luggage, not much but can schlep it with us when we meet the students and put it on the chartered bus. Should we overnight in Paris at a charming hotel or stay near the airport and which hotel do you suggest.? Or stay at the same hotel the group will be staying at...decisions decisions...(been to Paris over a dozen times) What would you do?

I think you should stay at airport, drop off your luggage and then spend rest of afternoon and early evening in Paris. Without luggage it is easy to catch an airport bus or an RER train.

merci la photographe...

we will take your advice of staying near the airport , leaving the bags there, then go spend the evening in the city and come back by RER or shuttle. Any particular airport hotel not too expensive that stands out? Ibis? Thank you for helping us decide.

Hi,

I too second the view that you should stay at the airport.

We stayed at the Etap hotel. There%26#39;s a free shuttle bus from the RER station to the hotel that operates between 5.15am and 11.30pm and takes about 15 to 20 minutes. It only costs about 40 euros a night for the room. You can grab breakfast there too. I%26#39;ve included the link below.

It%26#39;s a modern hotel, clean and confortable. I was a bit apprehensive before we got there because it was so cheap, but nothing at all to worry about!
