transfers from beauvias to and from the hotel

myself and two friends are traveling to Paris for 3 days next week, arriving early in the morning (9am ) and leaving 1120 pm.

It would seem that there is an airport shuttle at 13 euros (presume this cost is 1 way) taking us to Port Maillot, and then either taxi or metro thereafter (we%26#39;re staying at Les Trois Poussins).

Is this our best and cheapest option, and do you have to book for the return journey to the airport, and how reliable is this?

Thanks

Yes, this is your best and cheapest option. I do it regularly and have never had any problems. The return journey is reliable - the buses leave daily from the Porte Maillot and there will always be buses there about 3 1/2 hours before your flight. Normally you get to Beauvais just as check-in opens.

You can book in advance on the Beauvais airport website

(www.aeroportbeauvais.com/index.php?lang=eng) or simply buy both your outward and return tickets at the airport when you get to Beauvais. Or you can pay on the bus in Paris.

Don%26#39;t know where your hotel is, but from Porte Maillot you have less than 5 minutes to walk to the metro. There%26#39;s a taxi rank across the street from where the coach leaves you, outside the Concorde Lafayette hotel.

Hope this is helpful.

Short of Shanks%26#39;s pony it is your cheapest option. Your best would of course be a chauffeured Bentley or a private helicopter with landing rights on the Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower (where you would of course be met by a chauffeured Bentley)...

Yes the airport shuttle is reliable. You do not have to book for the return journey. Just show up at the Porte Maillot pick-up point by 8 p.m. with cash in hand.

If you google Beauvais shuttle you *can* pre-purchase yuour tickets IIRC.

Not sure of the location of Les Trois Poussins. This %26quot;Inside Page%26quot; by trvelnutt is specifically aimed at people arriving at CDG but many of the tips and tools it provides will be useful for you in planning not only how to get to your hotel from P.M. but also in general how to find your way round Paris. http://tinyurl.com/2s7dg6

Good luck!
