Coming to Paris with 15 year old wanna be Fashion Designer

She has always felt that she belongs in Paris or London as a Fashion Designer. We are coming in May/June. How can we hook her up with someone in the field?

Hi Ambesparis

While you are waiting for an answer to your request for an introduction to someone in the field. if you search the forum for %26quot;fashion show%26quot; you will get some ideas. Here is a recent thread that might help

I particularly liked this %26quot;teen intensive%26quot; trip report about taking a teenage girl to Paris

The Galliera museum has workshops (French only) for teens through out the year, design your own jean, etc...

You could also google for fashion schools in Paris, there are several in English.

Not sure that the large fashion houses could be of any assistance to you, but there is a guidebook called Paris Sur Measure which lists many of the local couturier with information on their workshops.

I recently stumbled past one and if my teen was in to fashion, this is the place I%26#39;d go into www.miralys-paris.com The specialty of the house is hats, but they make everything, and I was just itching to ask to visit the atelier myself (downstairs).

You might want to take her to the museum of textiles.

The web site for Musee de la Mode et du Textiles :

planetware.com/paris/musee-des-arts-decorati…

There is also a nice advertising museum also.

Thank you for all the great suggestions!

I have to ask, is that cat in your ID photo covering its eyes as in %26quot;see no evil%26quot;?

|||

See no evil? LOL I just thought it was a really cute photo.
