Eiffel Tower Hotel - Final Decision!!

Ive been reading alot of threads and researching on a lot of hotels.. and it seems people have very different opinions when it comes to hotels that have a good view of the Eiffel Tower.

Ive narrowed it down to these (hopefully im not missing any out!)

Hilton Hotel Paris

Hotel Muguet

Mercure Sufferen Hotel

Mercure Tour Eiffel

Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel

Which one of these would you recommend?.. taking into account the room quality.. along with the view of the tower (Id just love it if me and my partner could just relax at night watching the tower glow!)

Im not looking to spend over 150 Euros per night..

Thanks!!

My parents stay in Mercures everywhere and have never had a poor one yet. If you are 50+ and book direct with the hotel you get a double room for the price of a single, and 2 breakfasts for the price of one. Check out their website.

|||

Both Mercures are quite nice. I haven%26#39;t been in the others on your list.

Did you look for reviews for them under the TA Hotels tab above?

The Novotel-Tour Eiffel used to be Hotel Nikko... it%26#39;s located quite a ways down the Seine - across from the France Radio building. It is not convenient to anything, even the Eiffel, and is in a riverside business district. So I wouldn%26#39;t put that one on my list.

Are you sure you can get the Hilton (Eiffel) for 150E..? It is the closest to the tower and you might get a good view room but I don%26#39;t know if they will guarantee one or not.

Mercure Suffren used to be a Frantour when we stayed there in 1997. I remember our bath was rather large. The room had a kind of foyer at the entrance (or at least a bit of open space) then the twin beds and cabinet/shelf took up the rest of the room. We did ok there. The bar downstairs was nice - a large lobby... We took the hotel breakfast along with many, many bus-tour travelers. It is set back and to the side of the Hilton, and I%26#39;m thinking the Hilton might pretty much block any chance of a view...

I don%26#39;t know the other Mercure Tour Eiffel - if it is on blvd Grenelle, the street side rooms might suffer of noise from the elevated metro going past and/or traffic.

re: Hotel Muguet - does she still guarantee a view room based on price?... this hotel is going to be different from the others as being less %26#39;corporate%26#39; and more personally managed (which some like and others not so much). Her prices have gone up quite a lot the past couple of years.

|||

I%26#39;ve stayed at both the Paris Hilton Tour Eiffel and the Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel, but don%26#39;t know much about the other hotels you%26#39;ve mentioned. Between these two, if it were me, I would drop the Novotel from my list without hesitation. It was okay--clean and roomy, but nothing to rave about. I%26#39;m sure others have had lovely stays at the Novotel, but in comparing my two experiences, the Hilton comes out way ahead.

|||

Im thinking about the Hilton too.. but the prices are wayyy too big.. some over the 200 mark.. Ive seen some people say they have got a room for 120 on Hotwire.. but I cant even find the hotel there!

I think im torn between the Hilton, Mercure Suffren, and Miguet... just cant decide! And im going on 24th feb aswell!

Lots of TA members suggest calling the hotel direct for the best rate--you might try that. The time we stayed at the Hilton, we got it for $95 a night (USD) thru Priceline, but it%26#39;s a gamble, as we tried to get that hotel again and that%26#39;s when we ended up with the Novotel way down the street.

|||

We%26#39;re staying at the Hilton Paris the week after Easter. Through Hotwire we got $116 a night.

|||

I just checked rates on the Hilton%26#39;s website - lowest priced room for Feb 24-28 is 284€... ! definitely over your stated budget.

Why don%26#39;t you look at Hotel Duquesne-Eiffel? It has %26#39;view%26#39; rooms, rates are lower than Hilton (but may be over your 150E)..

http://www.duquesneeiffel.com/

their standard room is 150E and comfort room is 165E...

|||

Contact this hotel - they have %26#39;last minute%26#39; rates of 100E-140E; you would need to find out if you could get one of their %26#39;view%26#39; rooms...
