short and sweet... but what order?

We%26#39;ll be Paris for a really short time (Mar 11-14). We%26#39;ll arrive via train around 1pm on the 11th (Sun), and our flight departs early March 14th (Wed).

Here is what we want to see, does anyone have suggestions on what days/order to do this in, esp given that we%26#39;re arriving on a Sunday? I%26#39;ve been to Paris several times before (although over 10 years ago!), but this time, I have my husband and 2 children, ages 8 and 10:

- Eiffel Tower (we want to see at night, and defintely go to the top)

- River Cruise (thinking Vedettes from Pont Neuf at night)

- Notre Dame/St Chapelle - and we%26#39;ll be climbing Notre Dame towers for sure

- Musee D%26#39;Orsay

- Luxemburg Gardens

- Arc D%26#39;Triomphe

While I%26#39;d love to do more, I think this is plenty... esp. since the best part of Paris, for me anyway, is walking and taking it all in. We are staying at a wonderful apt in Montmartre, so I don%26#39;t have that in our plans of things to see.. but we will need to figure in the Metro.

Would appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance!

Just sending this to the top so others can reply

For ideas of things to do with the children, do a search of the forum (upper right side) for kids and then for children and you will find a lot of useful posts

The main metro line in Montmartre is 12 (mairie d%26#39;Issy - Porte de la Chapelle) which goes North South and is very convenient.

Musee d%26#39;Orsay: keep in mind that it is closed on Monday.

Try to get some photos of paintings and have your children look for them. This is something that makes them proactive and they will enjoy the museum more. There is also a great view from the roof top (you can see Montmartre for example).

Day 1- Luxemburg Gardens (great place to be on a Sunday) - Eiffel Tower

Day 2- Notre Dame/St Chapelle - River Cruise (thinking Vedettes from Pont Neuf at night)

Day 3- Musee D%26#39;Orsay- Arc D%26#39;Triomphe

Thanks all!

I love the advice about getting pictures of the art, I will go get some now!

Iterinary sounds exactly right, I don%26#39;t know why I didn%26#39;t think Luxemburg Gardens on Sunday afternoon when we arrive.. duh.

Again, thanks for the bump and the advice!
