It looks like a taxi from Orly to central Paris is 30-35 euros. OrlyVal is 9.70 euros per person. We are a family of 4 (2 teens), each with one backpack or small rolling suitcase, going to Ave de la Huchette in the Latin Quarter. Usually I take public transport, but taxi looks to be about the same or even lower cost. Is taxi the best bet? We%26#39;re arriving via air from Toulouse at around 3:00 p.m. on a Thursday. Thanks!

I think you%26#39;ve probably answered your own question, to your own satisfaction....but to add some detail to flesh out the choice,
IF....you decide to try the ORLYVAL (Shuttle bus to ANTHONY...RER %26#39;B%26#39; onward...9,10 €) or ORLYBUS (bus to Denfret-Rochereau..RER %26#39;B%26#39;...6 €) to the SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME station, ride a car near the back of the train. In this way you will come up ate the Exits from the SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME station at the Left Bank end of Petit Pont (Quai Saint Michel exit), From here walk away from the Seine for one short block...to rue de la Huchette, turn right onto rue de la Huchette. The whole street is only 3-4 blocks long...so you can%26#39;t possibly be far from your apartment.

Thanks, KDKSAIL. Great info. I%26#39;m thinking taxi would take a shorter time. Any idea how long? I%26#39;m pondering going to Orsay that night - it%26#39;s open until 9:45. It may not work out because we%26#39;ll need to settle in and eat somewhere, but it may be a possibility.

The trip should not take more than 30 minutes unless you are very unlucky with traffic. It is much closer than CDG.
