Metro

We are staying in Disneyland for a few nights in March and are planning a day trip into Paris. I have already purchased metro tickets zones 1-5. Could anybody tell how easy/difficult it is to use the metro?

Thanks

Dead easy from Marne - catch the shuttle to the bus station - down the escalator check the signs for the train heading as far as Paris and then sit on the train until you get to your stop in Paris.

It depends where in Paris you want to head to.

If you%26#39;ve got specific stops IrishRovr is your person for more detail - am sure they can advise you.

Should I assume that you mean that you have purchased one day *passes* rather than tickets, perhaps a Paris Visite pass? If so these will cover all your travel for the day you will be visiting Paris including travel on the buses.

If you don%26#39;t have one you will find a métro map at www.ratp.fr. You can figure out (with the help of a street map of Paris) which métro stations are closest to the places you want to see and then begin to plot an itinerary that will allow you to make the best use of your limited time.

Enjoy your visit!

I told you Irish Rovr would know! :-)

Hi

My friends and i are planing a trip to Paris and we plan to go to Paris Disneyland and we are staying at the %26quot; Le Meridien Montparness%26quot;, since this is our first time in Paris, and we don%26#39;t know the Metro or RER systems, i was wondering if anyone would know how do we get from our hotel to the Disneyland park, what is the best way to get there by public transport.

thanks

Go to www.ratp.fr where you will find a whole lot of info about the Paris métro, bus and RER (suburban light rail) systems. To get from your hotel to Disneyland you will need to take the métro to connect to Line A of the RER, then take this in the Direction M-la-V. The RATP site will give you a handy %26quot;route planner%26quot; that will tell you exactly which Lines you need to take and in which directions and where to change from the métro to the RER. Just use your closest métro station (you will probably be able to find it on your hotel%26#39;s web site if you do not know it) as your departure station and M-la-V a your destination.

On the day you go to Disneyalnd your best olption will be to buy a one day Zone 1-5 Mobils pass costing 12€30. This will cover both your RT travel to M-la-V and any other travel on the RATP system you may do that day.

Two French words you may need to add to your vocabulary are Sortie (exit) for when you want to leave the métro/RER system and Correspondances (transfers) for when you want to transfer from one line to another.
