Sacre Coeur Basilica for the disabled

I will be traveling with my mother, who is in her 70s and partially disabled. She can walk slowly, but stairs are difficult.

I read that the views from the Sacre Coeur Basilica are amazing, but how would we get there?

I read about the funicular that takes you up part of Montematre, can you see the view from the funicular? or is it just transportation up the hill with no view?

Once the funicular comes to the top, are there more steps to the view point? or are you pretty much there?

I think the Basilica itself might be too much for her, but the surrounding views might not be.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

The funicular to Montmartre is currently out of order but anyway it does not go to the very top of the hill. There are a few more steps to reach the basilica. You could consider a bus which goes around the Montmatre hill with stops at key locations.

We have just returned and the funicular is still out of order. Its not a very big one, I was quite suprise how short it was!

They do run replacement buses to the top but they are packed. There are a few more steps to the basilica but you still get a great view.

Also try the musee de institute du monde arabe, at the end of boulevard st.germain where it meets the seine. Just as good views as notre dame, but lovely lifts up to the roof terrace..and its free to go in.
