First ROUGH itinerary attempt - critique please!

Well I though a week for our first time in Paris would be enough but ... here is my suggestion for our trip in second half of September. It is the first attempt, I know I need to work on it a LOT but I just need to know if I have realistic expectations.

Day 1 (Friday) - 10 hours driving from Prague, if everything goes well we´ll be in Paris around 6pm, check-in, go to ET area (try the tower if lines aren´t too long), stroll around (Hotel des Invalides, Dome - not coming in)

Weekend - decided to make %26quot;less touristy%26quot; places to avoid weekend crowds so just strolling, not coming in attractions):

Day 2 (Saturday) - Start at Chaillot area (view from Trocadero gardens), move to Champs area (arc, palaces), move to Tuileries area (Vendome, Concorde, gardens) ?Buy a Museum Pass in the Pyramide welcome center or somewhere else, where?

Day 3 (Sunday) - start at Marais (Carnavalet Museum - can we buy Museum Pass there if we didn´t ge it on Saturday???) move to Beaubourg area and across the river to St. Germain area

Day 4 (Monday) - Already with 4 day Museum Pass: Louvre, across Tuileries gardens area do Opera area (Passages, La Madeleine), then to Montmartre area (S. Coeur)

Day 5 (Tuesday) - Versailles (buy a special transfer + ticket Versailes Pass at a RER station serving the C line), coming back, try to climb the ET if we didn´t make it on our arrival day

Day 6 (Wednesday) - Cité (ND, Conciergerie, Saint Chapelle) + Louis Island (ice-cream), move to Latin Q. (Cluny Museum)

Day 7 (Thursday) - Disneyland

Day 8 (Friday) - ET - if we didn´t make it during the week and AU REVOIR PARIS, departure to Provence for another 9 amazing days!

I would highly appreciate your comments, am I x am I not mad? Is it doable? We don´t want to make it a %26quot;hurry from place to place trip%26quot; so tell me ...

Thanks a lot in advance!

Your plan is fairly %26#39;do-able%26#39;... you might not make it to quite everything..

important to note:

Musee Carnavalet is FREE so don%26#39;t buy a pass for that one.

Versailles is INCLUDED in the museum pass, so don%26#39;t buy the combo ticket.

|||

Thanks tn, I know Carnavalet is free, I just wonder where to by a MP and avoid huge lines ... maybe in the info center at ET?

We want to make the most of Versailles and see everything, so I think the combo ticket is just OK.

|||

On the day you go from the Tuileries to the Opera area, stop in at the Paris Tourist Office at Pyramides and buy your museum pass.

I still don%26#39;t understand why you need/want the Versailles combo ticket.

|||

Well, tn, as I found out it includes return RER tickets, castle, audioguides (where are huge lines too and MP doesn´t save you...), Trianons ... MPass includes only castle, am I right? If you have different info, let me know, please.

|||

I%26#39;m pretty sure the Museum Pass won%26#39;t cover audio guides, so that is an extra benefit to the combo pass. Good research!

|||

Regarding MP%26#39; Versailles, it includes Chateaux, Grand and Petit Trianon (marie antoinette%26#39;s estate). It doesn%26#39;t include audioguides, which you can rent for 4Euros while you%26#39;re there.

|||

Well, the most important thing for us is not waiting in long lines, NOT saving a couple of Euros. So when MP or WP keeps me going right into the attraction - that´s enough for me. With only 7 days in Paris we want to make the most of it ...
