Opera Garnier to Citadines Louvre: to walk or not to walk?

We will be taking the Roissy bus from the airport to Opera Garnier and are considering walking ( with our luggage) to Citadines Louvre which is located at 8 Rue De Richleieu. This will be at noon on a saturday. what do you think? we will each have one piece of luggage on wheels. Merci beaucoup for your advice.

It%26#39;s a relatively short walk and an enjoyable one. The RoissyBus is the perfect plan for the Citadines Louvre. Just a few blocks of walking or 7€ in a taxi from rue Scribe to the hotel.

metromole...merci...will we look strange walking with our luggage in that area of Paris? We have never been to paris before and i am trying my best to do my homework and not ask repetitive questions on this forum. how long is a %26#39;short walk%26#39;?

naturewoman, hello from a fellow Long Islander who will also soon be staying at the Citadines Louvre (first week in April; spring break of course). We too are first-time visitors to Paris and are very excited. If you are there before us please post a trip report, especially with any tips particular to the Citadines. I%26#39;d love to read it.

No, you won%26#39;t stand-out with luggage in tow anywhere in Paris. Most of the rolling suitcases you see are being dragged to/from the train stations by Parisians.

The walk from rue Scribe to the hotel is less than 20 minutes, most of that waiting for traffic lights around the Opéra Garnier as you make your way south. It really isn%26#39;t a challenging walk. I wouldn%26#39;t bother with a cab unless you%26#39;re dog-tired from the flight.

thanks again metromole, your help is very much appreciated....orientme..we also will be there at the same time as you...reach me at b6533501@yahoo.com if you want to compare plans

BTW naturewoman, for what it%26#39;s worth, you%26#39;ll get off the RoisseyBus on rue Scribe which is directly behind (and I%26#39;m not exaggerating) possibly the most beautiful building on the face of the earth, the Opera Garnier. It%26#39;s simply stunning. What a great place to start your visit.

I%26#39;m so happy you took the time to answer my question...I%26#39;ve traveled many places but this is my first to Europe(other than Iceland) and I can%26#39;t wait to see the city!
