Normandy & Loire Valley

Can any one give me any suggestions as to where to stay and what to do. This is our itineary so far:

Day 1 - Train Paris to Rouen - pick up rental car and drive to Bayeux and overnight there.

Day 2 - Full day tour of the Normandy Beaches - overnight in Bayeux.

Day 3 - Drive to Mont St Michael and overnight???

Day 4 - Travel towards Loire Valley - overnight??

Day 5 - Travel in Loire Valley - overnight

Day 6 - Travel in Loire Valley - ending up in Tours for overnight

Day 7 - Depart Tours by Train to Paris.

Can anyone suggest what we should do from day 3 to day 6 and whether driving this distance will be ok in this time period??

If you are going to take a train somewhere and rent a car, Caen would be a much better choice than Rouen, which is an easy drive from Paris.

Concerning the Loire Valley, Amboise is a fairly central location. If you rent from Avis in Caen, you can return the car at the St Pierre des Corps station and take the train back to Paris.
