Restaurants

Hi All

My husband and I have will be staying in Paris for 7 nights,(13th Mar) we want to be able to eat out on a budget in the evenings for at least 5 of our nights. Can you reccommend some places that have set prices or that are under €20 a head. Also can you give us some information on passes for museums and best boat trips as would really like to do one of these. Thanks in advance

Where in Paris are you staying? This will help to advise on the best budget places to dine.

You can get a decent meal at a creperie for about that much.

Most set priced menus seem to hover around the 30 euro mark these days...

The boat I like the most is the Vedettes du Pont Neuf. You can get a 2 euro coupon on their web site, which brings your price to 8 euros per person.

jeez les - where do you eat?!?!?!?

Under 20 is easily doable, but you do have to add wine to that. Buy %26quot;the Rough Guide to French Hotels and Restaurants%26quot;, which lists by arondisements. It%26#39;s a translation from the French of Routard, and is thoroughly recoomended.

I never leave home without it (assuming I am going to france, that is)

Chez Gladines, 30 rue des Cinq Diamants, Paris 75013, open 7 days a week. Good Basque food; incredibly cheap. If you like the synergy of healthy salad fixings mixed with liver, eggs and other cholesterol-laden stuff, this is the place. Note: You will probably be sitting cheek to jowl with other diners. So what?
