Honeymoon trip to French Riviera

Hi, my fiance and I will be in France for our honeymoon the third week of September. We are flying into Paris (from DC) but would like to take a 3 night trip to the French Riviera to begin our vacation. Since this is the first leg of our trip we mostly want to relax by the beach, do some casual sightseeing, and enjoy good food and wine.

We really do not want to rent a car if we don%26#39;t have to, so we would prefer to travel by train or plane/train from Paris.

Any ideas about the best town to visit?

Also any suggestions for nice hotels less than 150 euros would also be great! Thanks!

Villefranche has what you are looking for - the hotel of choice is The Welcome - if you can get a room - late September shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. You can catch trains east or west for Nice, Cannes or Monaco
