Getting in and out of the CDG

My traveling companions and I have a long layover (5 hours) at the CDG on our way to Pisa. Being our first time going through Paris, we thought it would be great to get out of the airport and see SOMETHING!! But our main concern is security and such. Would it even be possible to get in and out of the airport? Any suggestions???

No one enjoys having their backside re-molded to the shape of an airport depature lounge seat.....especially with !!! PARIS !!! so near. But.....given the time it would take to make your way from CDG into Paris and than back again to CDG to clear airline and airport formalities for your outbound flight (MINIMUM 3-4 hours with almost ZERO margin for error or delay) this is probably one of those times when %26#39;..discretion is the better part of valour..%26#39; and you should stay put.....and perhaps browse through the shops at CDG, read that book you bought for the flight, review your travel guides and notes on Pisa and Italy or brush up on your Italian.
