Flight Options To Paris from Midwest USA

Hello everyone - I%26#39;m just beginning my plans for Paris in June. I%26#39;m seeking feedback from other fellow midwesterners on the best (aka cheapest) way to get to Paris. Would I be better off:

1. Flying to a central hub like Chicago or Detroit and then to Paris

2. Flying to New York and then to Paris

3. Other?

What has your experience been with getting from the midwest to Paris in the most economical manner?

Thanks.

p.s. We live in Kansas City, Missouri

One usually selects an air carrier based upon price and availability. Making a connection in one city vs. another is usually not terribly important. The question about connection options (a short leg followed by a longer leg vs. two medium legs i.e. a EWR or NYC connection) was discussed on this forum at length several months ago. There are various advantages to either arrangement but ultimately price is usually the deciding factor.

thanks to all, i booked a flight from kc to newark on continental then on to paris via air india for $871 round trip. i thought that was pretty good.

Be very careful with Air India. Set your expectations appropriately and be prepared. Consider upgrading to business class on that flight.

With an attitude like that you%26#39;ll do just fine, teb311! And congratulations on scoping out such a good fare!

How%26#39;s the rest of the planning going?
