Batobus service SUSPENDED!!!

I just noticed that the high water level on the Seine has caused Batobus service to be suspended until further notice. Any of you leaving in the next few days who might have been planning to use the Batobus might want to rethink your plans.

Best I can tell service on the Seine cruise boats is NOT affected at least for the present.

Thanks IR...I guess that might save a few headaches.

I must say I have never seen the rivers down my way flowing so freely - even the Loire looks less like a beach and more like a river.

|||

Has there been a lot of rain lately or is this just a consequence of a heavy late snowfall in the mountains followed by a fast and early thaw?

|||

Irish we%26#39;ve had little rain that would could be connected with the swelling river. Must be from upstream.

It%26#39;s been raining in the upper reaches of the Loire, and certainly rivers like the Creuse and Gatempe are swollen - so it can%26#39;t all be melted snow.

Having said that, looking at the puddle on the floor of the house, it doesnt look like it%26#39;s been raining enough, either............
