What area has plenty of bars and restaurants to go to at nightime?

Champs elysees, but I prefer St German des Pres (around the Rue des cannettes areas, metro Mabillon, but also the other side of the Boulevard, and Odeon). Place de la Republique has a lot going on as well. The area around Pantheon/Place Contrescarpe is pretty good - a bit of a student scene for the nearby Sourbonne as well.
There%26#39;s the St Michel area but it%26#39;s much more touristy.
