Just wondering is this hotel within walking distance of the latin quarter? Are there any bars or restaurants nearby?

You couldn%26#39;t be any farther from the L.Q. and still be in Paris. There are almost always restaurants and bars (known as cafés in France) close to any hotel in Paris.
if you are looking for hotels in or near the L.Q. look for addresses ending in 75005. The last two digits of any Paris post code designate the arrondissement, in this case the 5th, where you will find the L.Q. The Hotel R.F. is in the 16th (75016).
If you don not have a map of Paris click on the Paris Maps link on the left of the page to get an idea of the layout of the city.
You can search the hotels database (the Paris Hotels link) by area and one of the options is the L.Q. IIRC.
