Taxi at Antony?

Will it be easy to get a taxi at Antony on friday at 08.00 pm?

And it is easy to get taxi at any metro station?

There are not taxis at every metro station, but more likely there will be a taxi stand at the RER stations in Paris.

You can call a taxi if nothing else - there will be a charge on the meter as it starts when they begin the trip to come pick you up.

If you%26#39;re arriving at Orly airport, you could take the Orlybus shuttle to Denfert Rochereau (Paris, 14th arr), then get a taxi. (unless you aren%26#39;t going into Paris)..

Why don%26#39;t you give the details - where you are arriving and where you wish to go..? Then we could give some options...?

I found this info on the interactive map at

The regular taxi stand for the ORLYVAL and ANTHONY RER station (located at rue Aguste Moinie %26amp; Blvd. Pierre Brossolette is the one previously listed as: 2, rue Velpeau, 92160 ANTONY Tel : 01 46 74 56 16. This taxi stand will be just across the street from the ORLYVAL drop-off point.

But at 8 PM there may be fewer taxis than normal at this stand...and it is possible that you might have to wait a few miinutes for one to become available. As two women traveling alone, it%26#39;s also worth noting that there is also a local Police station on the other side of the street in the other direction.

To get to your hotel out in the the 17eme, near PORTE de CLICHY, it is POSSIBLE to take the ORLY shuttle bus from your Orly arrival terminal to the RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne station at PONT de RUNGIS-AÉROPORT d%26#39;ORLY and then take the RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne to the PORTE de CLICHY RER station (a few blocks from your hotel)...via RER %26#39;C%26#39; train heading in the direction of Gare de Pontoise (%26#39;..NORA..%26#39; train designator). The RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne %26#39;NORA%26#39; trains run from RUNGIS-ORLY every 15 minutes and the train trip from RUNGIS-ORLY to PORTE de CLICHY RER takes 57 mins. Allowing for the shuttle travel time from Orly to Rungis, the train ride from Rungis to Porte de Clichy and then the walk of a few blocks to your hotel, the whole transfer could take anywhere from 90-120 mins. It%26#39;s not necessarily an option that I%26#39;d recommend...but it is an %26#39;..option..%26#39;.

May I ask why on earth you%26#39;d get a taxi at Antony instead of at the airport? And if you%26#39;re planning on taking OrlyVal, why wouldn%26#39;t you continue into the city before getting a taxi?

Why would you pay each the 7.20€ OrlyVal fare and then switch to a taxi? The fare difference from the airport vs from Antony is not 14€.

I live not too far from your hotel, and at 8pm on a Friday, I%26#39;d avoid a taxi into the city because of possible traffic concerns. The RER C is a bit pokey, but the simplest option. Alternately, taking OrlyVal to Les Halles, changing to the 14 to St. Lazare and then to the line 13. This sounds complicated but it%26#39;s faster than the RER C, and in that direction there are very few stairs and the changes are not too long.

Thank you for answering.

I really don%26#39;t know what I am doing. First time in Paris, and just trying to figure out how to get to the hotel.

It sounds like you know what you are talking about, so I think I will do as you suggest :)
