Paris Musuem Pass? Paris Visite?

In 2006, I purchased a 3-day Paris Museum Pass that did NOT include the Metro (subway).

I%26#39;ve been told that in 2007, the only museum pass is %26quot;The Paris Pass%26quot; good for 2 days (79 euros), 4 days (119 euros) or six days (cost doesn%26#39;t matter because I%26#39;m not there 6 days!) and that the Metro (subway) in included. Is this correct? (I still see the 3-day pass without the Metro sold on the Internet.)

Also, how much is a Carte Orange %26amp; will I (an American) have trouble buying one?

Is the Paris Visite Metro Pass still available and for how much and how many days? I%26#39;ve heard it%26#39;s not really a very good bargain.

In the end, I%26#39;d like a 2 day adult pass that will get me into museums. I%26#39;d like to ride the metro for 4 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

By whom have you been told this? It is completely and utterly UNTRUE!

A two day Museum Pass purchased in Paris will cost you 30€.

A Zone 1-2 Carte Orange good for unlimited travel WITHIN Paris on the métro, buses or RER for a week will cost you 16€. Total cost 46€ as opposed to 119€. Sound good?

Yes, as an American — or for that matter a Ethiopian lumberjack — you can buy a Carte Orange. You will need to buy it on the Wednesday you arrive, the last day you can buy a CO for the current week, and it will be valid until the last train on the following Sunday. You will need a small passport-type photo, approx 1%26quot; wide by 1.25%26quot; high for the CO. The PV pass is still available, but, as you have heard it is not a good buy. The 5 day (there is no four day) PV pass for essentially the same area your CO will cover would cost you ~28€,

Do NOT buy your Museum pass or any other pass before you arrive in Paris. You will only pay extra for something you can buy with no difficulty after you arrive.

I really would like to know who tiold you that the Paris Pass was the %26quot;only museum pass%26quot; in 2007.
