Paris local transportation

We are arriving in Paris from west to one train station and leaving south from another train station. How difficult is it to get to another train station and does it take alot of time? (i.e. more than an hour?)

It all depends which stations. They have names. I%26#39;m guessing Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon but that *could* be wrong. So give us the names and we%26#39;ll be able to tell you the best way to get from one to the other. No transit from any mainline station to another will take as long as an hour, however.

In most cases if you have significant luggage a taxi will probably be the best way to make the transfer, certainly the easiest. At rush hour it might be better to use the métro even if it is less convenient if you do not have a lot of time.
