Hi!
I will be in Paris next week for 3 days and am dabating between a single room at Jardin de l%26#39;Odéon @ 89 EUR and a double at L%26#39;hôtel du Théâtre @ 115 EUR. Both rates do not include breakfast.
This is my first trip to Paris (and Europe) and I have no clue which area is central etc. Could anyone help me?
Also, if anyone has stayed any of these hotels, is breakfast worth extra cost?

If Hotel du Theatre is up by metro Rome or Villiers, it isn%26#39;t very central. It%26#39;s a nice neighborhood - you could walk to Montmartre in about 1/2 hour or to Opera in 20 minutes or so...
Anything around metro Odeon will be very central (and quite crowded, too)...
Truth is - you%26#39;ll be using some transportation regardless once you%26#39;ve exhausted the reachable areas near either one.
Try the hotel breakfast the first morning to see if you like it. By then, you%26#39;ll know where some alternate places are for the rest of the days, unless you continue having brkfst at the hotel.
A coffee, juice, couple of croissants/breads with jam should cost 6-8Euro... if there is also cereals, yogurts, then mayb 10Euro... If it%26#39;s much more Euro than that, I%26#39;d definitely look elsewhere.
