Directions from Gare du Nord please

Hi everyone.

Can you tell me the best way to get to where I am staying using the Metro from Gare du Nord? My accommodation is on Rue Chapon - closer to Rue Saint-Martin than Rue Beaubourg.

Using the Viamichelin site, the closest metro station appears to be Arts et Metiers, however, this is not on a direct line from Gare du Nord.

The closest Metro stations after this are Reaumur Sebastopol and Etienne Marcel - these are both on a direct line from Gare du Nord.

From the map, it seems getting off at Reaumur Sebastopol and walking from there would be easier than changing at Reaumur Sebastopol to Line No 3 to get to Arts et Metiers, and then walking again.

And no, I don%26#39;t want to catch a cab - I would prefer to spend my money on other things.

Your thoughts?

Right. Besides, the Line 3 / Line 4 connection at Réaumur-Sébastopol is a long-winded one.

You may also consider bus #38, which is frequent throughout the day, and departs from the Gare du Nord - ehnce you%26#39;ll have room and a seat on the bus.

I checked the #38 bus route, and it looks like it might be a better option than the metro. Thanks for the info.
